Heidi Harry-Pfenniger
Born in Santiago, Chile, she began playing the piano at the age of eight. In 1955, after graduating from high-school, she moved to Switzerland, where she continued her piano studies with
Walter Rehberg in Zürich, later joining Hubert Harry’s professional class in Lucerne. 1958 she received her teacher’s Diploma and in 1957, she married Hubert Harry.
From 1962 until 1993, she taught at the Lucerne Conservatoire: piano and pedagogy for students in the professional class; piano for children and adults in the amateur class.
In 1993, she left the Conservatoire, and has since been teaching privately, giving courses for piano teachers within the framework of the Swiss Society for Music Pedagogy and acting as
examiner at Diploma exams in several music academies and universities.
